A bobbin is one short story, narrated. Your free account comes with bobbins to get you started.
Spools: full-length stories
A spool is one full-length story, narrated from start to finish. A story you only read, without narration, costs half a spool, so reading makes your spools go twice as far.
Getting spools
A subscription adds spools to your account every month. You can also buy single spools at any time, with no subscription.
When a story counts
A story is only counted once its second chapter has been written, so trying an opening costs nothing. Bobbins and spools don't convert into each other.
Sharing is free
Listening to a story someone shares with you never costs you anything, and never uses up theirs.
