Delete your StoryLoom account

StoryLoom is made by Charleston Apps LLC. You can delete your account, and the stories in it, at any time: in the app, on the website, or by email.

In the app (iPhone, iPad or Android): Menu → My Account → Delete account, then confirm.
On the website: sign in at storyloomai.app/weave, open the menu, choose My Account, then Delete account.
By email: write to support@charlestonapps.com from the address you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. We may ask you to confirm that the address is yours, and we reply within 30 days.

What happens when you delete it

Your access ends straight away.
For 5 days you can change your mind: signing in again restores the account.
After that, your account and its stories are erased automatically. That includes your email address, name, date of birth, your stories with their choices, cover art and narration, your reading and listening positions, and any appeal you sent us.
If you'd like it done sooner, email us.
If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also removes StoryLoom from your Apple ID's Sign in with Apple list.
Deleting stops renewals of plans bought on the web or on Google Play. A subscription bought through the App Store can only be cancelled by you, in your Apple ID's subscription settings.

What we keep, and for how long

Purchase and transaction records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires, generally 7 years.
Content reports about a story or an account: up to 2 years from the date of the report.
Usage and log data linked to your account: up to 90 days. After that, only aggregated figures with identifying details removed.
App diagnostics (phone model, app version and recent app events): 90 days from when they were sent.
Legal holds: where the law requires us to preserve something, such as a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, it is kept for as long as the hold requires.

Deleting some of your data without closing your account

You can delete an unfinished story from the app's home screen. To have other information deleted while keeping your account, email support@charlestonapps.com.
